Are you sure you can do this, Favour?

For a second I doubted my abilities and immediately I responded with a question.

You don’t think I write so well?

But then the response I received was one I didn’t expect and probably the very reason I’m here writing this to you without shame cos I know I’ve slacked.

“Remember, you’ve stopped posting on Medium”, Naydu said to me.

And the next few lines that followed were him telling me how much of a good writer I am but I still struggled with one thing.

CONSISTENCY !!!

Sounds easy, yeah?

Especially for something you do with ease.

You think it’s something you could always hop on and get done in a few mins, yeah?

But the irony is that it’s the most difficult habit you would struggle to keep up with.

I started my medium journey a few months ago and I promised to write weekly (you can check my very first post HERE).

That initial feeling of excitement 💃🏻💃🏻.

I did a rough calculation of how many articles I should have on this page by the end of the year.

I remembered that the following week, I did three articles a week 🤣.

Got me feeling like a Super Komando but all of a sudden, that initial light just switched off 🥲.

As of the time of writing this, I’m still trying to figure out what transpired that made me ghost on here 🤦🏼‍♀️.

Remember I told you writing here is one thing I could do with ease, right?

So it doesn’t co-relate if I say I was busy cos I could always steal a few minutes from my time to say Hello on here.

I had one problem that somehow I knew existed but I’ve been struggling to admit that it was the reason.

I felt it is inexcusable to say it. So, I left without leaving you a notice, giving you the solemn power to guess and decide what reason made me slack on my promise just a few months later.

Naydu pointed it out to me while he spoke to me. I’ve probably heard this severally even from him but this time around, it stuck with me.

Do you know why?

He admitted he had the same issue. While he kept talking to me, he made sure to say that he was also advising himself.

I felt sort of relieved and I believe just like I & Naydu, there are so many others who could be having the same problem.

So, before we go on to look for a way to navigate through this.

I’d like to know how many of us here that VERSATILITY is currently dealing with you.

I agree with you. It’s one cool trait to have in a place like Earth but the issue of having to move through many stuff and not focusing or settling on one is real.

Nothing holds your interest for long and you keep jumping on stuff.

Jacks & Jills of Plenty trades & skills, it ain’t your village people this time.

It’s your VERSATILE Nature !!.

P.S: Your guess will be right as to who is my muse. Yeah, That’s my very good friend Naydu. I appreciate our friendship and I am fascinated as to how deep we’ve connected in a few months even though we are yet to meet.

Maybe someday, I will write an epistle about him on here.

Till that very day, let us focus on dealing with the issue at hand.
